Donation of the Matica hrvatska Collection to the Croatian State Archives, 2007-2008

After Matica hrvatska deposited its records in the Croatian State Archives (HDA) in 1994, in 2007, it decided to donate the collection to the Archives. After that, Matica handed over the newly formed materials (approximately 200 archive boxes) on several occasions (acquisition 41/2007, acquisition 36/2008 and acquisition 39/2008). The material was merged into the already existing collection (organised in 1998). The structure of the materials donated in 2007 was similar to the materials acquired in 1994, with the addition of records related to some smaller publishing projects. This archival collection was finally completed in 2008, and since then it has been entirely accessible to the public.
